Education: B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting or minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
Basic Experience: At least 5 years of accounting work experience in a business environment.
Specialized Experience: None.
Duties: Serves as an accounting technician that performs a variety of routine and some non-routine accounting functions. Possesses a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures in performing the examination, verification, and maintenance of accounts and accounting data. Requires a knowledge of existing accounting systems, standard accounting codes, classifications, and terminology; an understanding of agency accounting policies, procedures, and requirements; and the ability to apply various accounting methods, forms and techniques. Possesses a good understanding of computer systems and is proficient in the use of job specific computer systems (SAP, Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, etc). Salary range is $50000 - $58000.
